Income Protection, Life and Total & Permanent Disablement Insurance Package for young doctor members
Avant Insurance has partnered with a specialist life insurer Hannover Life Re of Australasia Ltd, ABN 37 062 395 484 (Hannover) to develop a life risk insurance product for our young doctors members - particularly interns and RMOs.
Under this arrangement Hannover is the insurer and it underwrites the insurance risk. Hannover is also responsible for the management of claims. Avant Insurance distributes the life risk insurance products to eligible members of Avant. We are the contact point for members and are responsible for the administration of the insurance cover.
For members this means we can offer a competitive package without detracting from our focus on providing quality professional indemnity. In addition, under this arrangement Avant is protected from underwriting losses – so no member capital is at risk.
We will be developing a similar package for our mature doctor members.
