Mar 2, 2017 to Mar 4, 2017
The 27th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery Society will be held in Sydney from 2-4 March 2017. International speakers will join an eminent Australasian contingent to take you on this provocative romp through the contemporary controversies facing the specialty. We look forward to welcoming you at the Avant booth.
At this upcoming ASM in Sydney, Avant will be presenting a breakfast workshop, Saturday 4 March, 7 - 8am: ‘Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall: Avoiding the fall when taking up a new procedure/device.’ This workshop will have a panel of experts (including members of the Avant defence team: Dr Peter Henderson, Snr Medical Advisor, Jo Montgomery, Snr Risk Advisor and Medico-Legal Advisor and Andrew Blanford, Special Counsel – Civil, together with Professor Ajay Rane) assessing issues to consider when performing new procedures or using a new device. Drawing on their extensive experience the panel will use case based scenarios and recent claims data to discuss current risk issues in this area. The experts will also appear on the Avant trade stand after the workshop, so delegates can discuss related topics further.

The Avant & AGES Partnership
Avant and AGES signed a formal partnership in 2016 to support AGES members to deliver best practice and reduce controllable risk, improving the overall standard of practice. The partnership will support the advancement of research, education, leadership and advocacy skills for gynaecologists and trainees. The new partnership cements a long standing relationship between Avant and AGES with Avant supporting the AGES ASM and other state and national meetings over many years.
