2010 Avant Medico-legal Forum

This year we focused on individual specialty risk with programs specifically designed for members working in high risk areas of clinical practice. We also provided a state-based medico-legal update complemented by an update on significant Commonwealth issues. Our panel discussion on clinical handover supported our 2010 theme of Think Ahead, Think Out Loud.

Think Ahead, Think Out Loud is a strategy that harnesses doctors knowledge and an awareness about patient risks in context of their specific situation. It also encourages proactive communication of these issues with other participants involved in the patients' care.
